We knew that we wanted to hang-glide while we were in Rio. We had hired a great guide to show us the city and spoke to him about who he would recommend. He connected us with a pilot friend from Rotorfly and we followed up.
The flight experience was amazing (as you might expect). Flying over Rio suspended from a kite is just amazing. The process was equally positive. The day started with rain so that put a kink into our plans. No problem. We were kept in the loop on conditions and taken care of while we waited. Once the conditions cleared, we were walked through the process and coached on what to do and what to expect.
At every point, the pilots were friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. They were able to make everyone in the group comfortable (it was the first time for all but 1 in a group of six).
The kites are set up with cameras to capture the entire experience from multiple angles to make sure you have a record of your flight.
This team is highly recommended and the experience of hang-gliding is simply wonderful.
